My Story

I've created this page because I want to make a difference. Following my diagnosis of Bowel Cancer earlier this year and the successful operation I consider myself so fortunate and want to support Bowel Cancer New Zealand by raising money as part of my participation in Decembeard 2017. Please help me help them by giving whatever you can using the 'Give Now' button. The more people that know about Bowel Cancer New Zealand, the greater their impact, so please also spread the word by sharing my page with your friends and family. Thank you in advance for your generosity, it means a lot!

Beards aren’t just for hipsters, those with tatts, men that ride motorbikes or people that are too lazy to shave. All you need to do is grow a beard (or some bum fluff) for the month of December, and promote your facial hair to raise awareness and funds for New Zealand’s second biggest cancer killer – bowel cancer!

Bowel Cancer kills more than 1,200 New Zealander’s every year and a change in bowel movements is one of the most common symptoms. The good news is that bowel cancer is curable in more than 75 percent of cases if caught early. We need your help to continue our lifesaving work, so please help by showing your support this Decembeard.
