781 days ago, Dan created this page in support of Bowel Cancer New Zealand.

With the help of Team Decembeard 2017, Dan gave everything:

My Story

Do I know anyone who's had, or passed away from Bowel Cancer? No. Do I want too? No. And that's why I've created this page. The more money we can raise to support, research and cure bowel cancer, the less likely it will be that you or someone you love will be affected by it. So yes, I will support Bowel Cancer New Zealand's Decembeard 2017 by growing mine.

But I already have a beard, that's no challenge. So instead I'm going to get out and run/bike 500km in December. Follow me on Strava if you will, but please help me help them by giving whatever you can using the 'Give Now' button.

The more people that know about Bowel Cancer New Zealand, the greater their impact, so spread the word and share my page with your friends and family. Give what you can, spread the word, see you outside xx

Beards aren’t just for hipsters, those with tatts, men that ride motorbikes or people that are too lazy to shave. All you need to do is grow a beard (or some bum fluff) for the month of December, and promote your facial hair to raise awareness and funds for New Zealand’s second biggest cancer killer – bowel cancer!

Bowel Cancer kills more than 1,200 New Zealander’s every year and a change in bowel movements is one of the most common symptoms. The good news is that bowel cancer is curable in more than 75 percent of cases if caught early. We need your help to continue our lifesaving work, so please help by showing your support this Decembeard.
